Higher Ground

Higher Ground

Oil on board

12 x 24 with gold floater frame. Wired and ready to hang.

I’ve often wondered if birds hang out on higher branches for the view or protection from predators?

Maybe it’s both.

It’s natural for them to fly and live in an elevated space.

Our journey takes us through years of ups and downs, challenging the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects of ourselves.

Personally, I’m an information seeker. Looking for ways to expand my knowledge, and understanding of the human condition.

Each time I learn something and bring it into practice, I visualize myself walking up a staircase. When I can pass it on to someone else, it’s like we both get to jump up a couple of steps together.

“I’m so glad that I know more than I knew then
Gonna keep on tryin’

Till I reach my

highest ground”

After all, isn’t the gift of transformation and growth something to be treasured and shared so we can all keep moving to a higher ground?
