Life Is a Highway

How is it already 2026?
 
I always remind myself to not over schedule in December and somehow, between parties, movie nights, shopping, wrapping, and working, it’s over.
 
I kicked off the new year with a quick trip to explore Chicago with my daughter, as she will be moving after graduation (which, I'm still processing!).
 
She diligently researched and made notes of the neighborhoods to visit and places to explore.
 
I however, had no agenda.
 
Just a passenger in her car, enjoying the ride.
 
“Life is a highway
I wanna to ride it all
night long” 
 
I liked it.
 
Maybe this is the year I ease up and savor the journey as it comes.
