Looks Like We Made It

A few months before we were expecting our first baby in 2020, we took a trip to Martha's Vineyard.
 
We stayed at an adorable bed and breakfast, and planned out a few things we wanted to see on the island.
 
We even stopped at a little book shop and bought a baby name book.
 
We day dreamed our new life as it was fast approaching.
 
We got extra sleep, lots of beach walks, and deliecious meals recharged us.
 
On the way home, our 1996 Ford Explorer started giving us trouble.
 
The crusie control got stuck!  YES!  STUCK!
 
It stayed like that for miles.
 
We both got silent and just prayed.
 
Then my husband gently made his way to the side of the highway, threw it into neutral as the engine raced  and stood one the brakes.
 
And it worked!
 
"Looks like we made it
 
Whoa, babe, we made it"
 
We exhaled.
 
Made our way back onto the road and silently rode home.
 
Somebody was definitaly looking our for us!
