I’ve never been good at small talk.
 
Don’t get me wrong, I love a good conversation; the kind that you jump into with both feet.
 
My dear friend says to me all the time: “Kimi, we always end up nose to nose deep in conversation.”
 
And I realized something as I was painting this piece.
 
These are the paintings I love the most. 
 
Aside from them feeling warm and cozy, it’s the deep connection I feel when engaged in heartfelt conversation.
 
That moment when I feel seen and loved.
 
I feel safe.
 
It’s everything.

I’m so grateful for all the connected moments in my life and the wonderful people who have shared their sunshine with me.
