The love I have for my children is unconditional. When they were little, it was my job to keep them safe and protected. Now that they are adults my role has changed. It's different and has taken me a while to understand the new cadence. They don't need me on a daily basis, but my mother's heart is always open sending them love, because when I close my eyes, they are still two little girls holding my hands.
