Never Grow Up

Never Grow Up

Oil on board

6x6 with black floater frame.

My babbies are 22 & 20. I've moved into the phase of parenting adults. Its beautiful and its sad. So amazing to see them mature into beautiful young women, making their mark in the world, and becoming what God has called them to be.

So many times, I close my eyes and see my two little girls, dancing around in their dress up clothes, getting lost in their world of imagination and stuck together like glue. I had a front row seat to the wonder, joy, and tears, that formed their childhood. Now that they are not under my roof, I miss them.

I miss us.

But, this is the journey of the soul. They got what they needed from us, and its time for them to experience the world, and I will always be their biggest fan.

"Oh darling, don't you ever grow up

Don't you ever grow up

Just stay this little

Oh Darling, don't you ever grow up

It could stay this simple

I won't let nobdody hurt you

Won't let no one break your heart

And no one will desert you

Just try to never grow up

Never grow up"
