Ever have those days when you just felt like you were treading water?
Working hard and not getting very far.
I can remember being in college and feeling like I was never going to get through all of my work each semester.
The weeks would drag and the weekends fly by.
Sundays were spent in the library worrying, more than actually getting my work done.
That feeling never went away, really.
As a mom, I worried about the next day before I even put the kids to bed at night.
Never understanding how to truly be present.
And it was exhausting.
"I'm starting with
the man in the mirror
I'm asking him to
change his ways"
So I started to dig deeper. What's wrong with me? Is this normal?
And of course it is.
Little by little, I read books, listened to experts, and started to talk to someone.
Happiness is an inside job.
It's no one else's responsibility to make me happy.
"If you wanna make
the world a better place
Take a look at yourself
and then make a change"
I'm not perfect, but I'm aware.
And it's made all the difference.
